Domaine Les Serrals winesAbout Domaine Les Serrals
Chloé Barthet and Frédéric Almazor drove 50,000 kilometres in a year to find the right terroir. They were looking for something that would produce fresh, elegant wines with character. When they found a listing for vines for sale in Faugères, they made the trip — and fell immediately for the place. Domaine Les Serrals was established in 2016 on 5 hectares at the top of the Faugères appellation. The parcels consist of two small hills — serrals in Occitan — covered in historic stone huts and capitelles, on steep schist slopes. Chloé had previously trained with major names in organic viticulture. Frédéric had a background in finance. Together they built a semi-underground cellar in the heart of the vineyards. All work is done without synthetic products or additives, with a focus on letting terroir and vintage speak. The wines stand out for their freshness, elegance and site-specificity.
