159 kr · Fast sortiment · Riesling · Niederösterreich, Österrike
The cheapest wine in this issue and the only one always in stock. Alwin Jurtschitsch converted the family estate in Kamptal to organic farming in 2006 and has worked with spontaneous fermentation and minimal intervention since. Langenlois Riesling is his entry wine — dry, taut and with the stone-fruit character that Kamptal's ancient bedrock gives. A producer of this calibre in the permanent assortment for 159 kronor is unusual.
200 kr · Tillfälligt sortiment · Blaufränkisch · Burgenland, Österrike
Gernot and Heike Heinrich are Demeter-certified and founding members of Pannobile, the group that made Austrian red wine taken seriously. Leithaberg is its own appellation on limestone and schist north of Lake Neusiedl, and Blaufränkisch from there is tauter and more mineral than the fruitier style further south. A serious single site for two hundred kronor.
231 kr · Tillfälligt sortiment · Chenin blanc · Loiredalen, Frankrike
Catherine and Pierre Breton are among the Loire's natural wine pioneers — they stopped using additives long before there was a movement to belong to. La Dilettante is made from Chenin Blanc with second fermentation in bottle and no dosage. Dry, appley and with a yeastiness closer to pét-nat than champagne. One of few natural sparkling wines under 250 kronor made by someone with this track record.
389 kr · Ordervaror · Italien
Radikon's wines dominate our orange list, but Slatnik is something else. It is made from Chardonnay and Friulano with considerably shorter skin contact than Oslavje and Ribolla — enough for texture and colour, not enough for the heavy tannins. If Radikon's other wines have felt like too much, this is the way in. Same family, same Oslavje, same absence of additives.
399 kr · Ordervaror · Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt · Österrike
Gut Oggau is one of natural wine's most recognisable names, not least for the labels where each wine is a member of an invented family. Atanasius is the son — Zweigelt and Blaufränkisch, the lightest and most immediate of their reds. Biodynamically farmed by Lake Neusiedl, spontaneously fermented, unfiltered. A wine as enjoyable to drink as it is to look at.
